Accessibility

Draft statement · Updated September 9, 2026 · Testing in progress.

Our goal

OficialUSA aims to make its website and app usable with assistive technology, keyboard navigation and larger text, in English and Spanish. We are targeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA for the website while mapping the applicable Revised Section 508 requirements for USCIS review. This is a goal, not a certification or completed conformance claim.

Website design

The draft website uses semantic headings, a skip-to-content link, visible keyboard focus, readable text contrast, generous links, responsive layouts and explicit language identification. Information does not depend on color alone. It has no autoplay audio or animation essential to understanding content.

App considerations

Citizenship voice controls offer adjustable speech with visible text. Audio is supplementary: you should not need to hear it to read study content. Large-text layouts and screen-reader labeling need review across key journeys, including onboarding, case history, forms, the passcode screen, data deletion and study controls.

Official PDFs and embedded government pages may have accessibility limitations beyond our control. Guided form entry does not by itself make a generated official PDF accessible. We must test reading order, field labels and usable alternatives before claiming conformance.

Testing and remaining work

Automated checks are only part of evaluation. Manual keyboard, zoom, VoiceOver and native-device testing remain necessary, as does review of any identified barriers. The owner's review package records the tests actually run and the remaining checks. We have not signed a Section 508 compliance affidavit or completed a formal accessibility conformance report.

Report a barrier

Email admin@oficialusa.com with the screen or page, what you were trying to do and your device or assistive technology if comfortable sharing it. Do not include case numbers or identity documents. You can request the information in a different accessible format; we will discuss a suitable alternative. This is product support, not emergency or legal assistance.
